Elephant Conservation in South Africa

The Tembe Elephant Park is home to over 220 threatened elephants and other animals. Elephants are over hunted all in different countries because of the value of their tusks. They are also dying off because of the growing human population that is destroying habitats. It is estimated that there are only 35,000 to 40,000 african elephants in the wild which is an extreamly small number. there are many difforent conservation efforts in Africa and Asia but the Tembe Park is one of the biggest. The park is mainly wild, there are hardy any people and fences. The Primary objectives of the park is to protect the lives and property od the people who live around elephants, preserve the elephant population, protect the sand forrest, and protect the African Antelope populatopn.
