Sustainability
1. sustainability is the ability to maintain a certain process or state.
2. sustainability in a community is the amount of resources and energy needed to keep it going. The people in the movie believe that our normal resources are running out and we need to change our ways.
3. the more people that demand a resource, the sooner it is going to run out. Once a resource runs out there can be no sustainability and a new resource must be found.
4. use different more abundant kinds of fuel, grow their own food, work together in a community, and use natural energy.

Reaction to the 11th Hour
This movie made a very good argument towards changing our ways. It gave many important facts about global warming such as the fact that our oceans levels are rising and global temperature is rising. they also had a lot of experts being interviewed who gave examples of what would happen if we do not change our ways. I believe that the people in this movie were right and that we do have to change our ways. If the people of the world do not change the amount of pollutants being released into the atmosphere, global warming could occur faster than we think. other things people are doing also negatively effect the environment, such as deforestation. clearly all the people of the world need to work together to reverse the effects of global warming.

article 4
Sustainable development has become an issue in the past few hundred years. it is human nature to keep on expanding, but we are now beginning to realize that we have a very limited amount of space and resources. There are many different kinds of desirable developments such as economic development and the development of technologies such as medicine. Any people in the world also agree that we should try to preserve the environment. For example, 62% of the people worldwide said that they would with tax increases if the money was being used to help the environment. poverty has also become an issue, the majority of the people agree that unfair treatment by society caused poverty while a small percentage agree that it is their own fault. in other aspects of development, 56% of people believe that science will benefit mankind greatly. I believe that it is very important to promote sustainable behavior because many advancements will help mankind, but we also need to preserve our space and natural resources because those are things that we cannot get back once we run out. I also believe that some advancements are more important than others. for example we sould first work to advance medicine so that many deaths could be prevented.
